Four New International Honors for St. Joe’s King Media

The annual MarCom Awards are among the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world, so if you step away from the awards podium as a single agency with four international awards, your undoubtedly in pretty rare company. That’s where Coleen King and her team stand today following word last week that the St. Joseph marketing and advertising agency she heads up — King Media — had won two platinum and two gold MarCom Awards in international competition.

King Media garnered two platinum awards for Strategic Communications in the Integrated Marketing and Digital Marketing arenas, while the gold awards were for Videos in the Recruitment and Marketing Categories.

King Media was recognized alongside global brands like IKEA, Aldi, McDonalds, Ford, Citi, Cisco and others. When you add in these four new awards, it brings a total of nine national and international awards in the last two years alone, showcasing the high standard of strategic planning, creative execution and meaningful results for the powerhouse agency.

These awards recognize King Media’s talent recruitment campaign for Association General Contractors of Michigan. Using a dynamic, cinematic video as the foundation, King executed a robust digital campaign to highlight career opportunities in the skilled construction trades. The campaign targeted high school students and influencers such as parents, teachers, counselors and coaches, over a three-month period. At the campaign’s conclusion, the stats were staggering: almost 3,000-percent over delivery each on the AdWords and Facebook campaigns, a 30-percent view-through on YouTube and a 1,000-percent increase in web traffic, just to name a few. Most compelling, according to Coleen King, however, was the exponential increase in direct inquiries — a 10,400-percent increase in just three months.
