Galbraith Siblings Hosting Kickstarter Roll Out for New BH Restaurant

Since first teasing the world of social media about their impending arrival on the culinary scene in downtown Benton Harbor, local sibling Chefs Cheyenne and James Galbraith have been working around the clock on the evolution of their plan. The two have been meeting with supporters, idea-generators, fans and friends to set the stage for the opening of their new restaurant in the historic Sheffield Building across from City Center in downtown Benton Harbor.

Plans are now advancing for the Galbraiths as they are finalizing menus and more for a special event on Thursday, December 13th at the ARS Arts & Cultural Center at 147 Fifth Street in the Benton Harbor Arts District.

That event will launch the release of their Kickstarter video and campaign to raise money for the development of their Houndstooth Restaurant. Included in the Kickstarter campaign will be all startup costs and some of the build-out of the restaurant property in the Sheffield. The campaign will include more than 10 pledge levels with corresponding incentives.

The Galbraith’s vision for Houndstooth is “to provide Michigan’s Great Southwest with elevated food for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, at an appropriate price point for varied clientele.”

The two are planning “a vibrant restaurant experience that gives the people of Benton Harbor, St. Joseph and all of Southwest Michigan a place to come together and enjoy this blooming community.”

The Kickstarter roll-out event on the 13th will feature appetizers by James and Cheyenne, a glass of champagne to toast the night, music by DJ Todd Dockerty, and the premiere viewing of the Kickstarter video filmed by Tommy Oldham.

A sizable contingent of supporters has already signed on to be at the roll-out party, but a few tickets might still be available. Click the link below for details:
