Brett Thompson has toiled for nearly a decade now on what he calls “Michiana’s Premier Grow Shop specializing in Controlled Environment Agriculture.” As a result of his hard work, he’s prepping for a Grand Opening event for his new location alongside the legendary Lunkers building in the community of Edwardsburg.
Thompson’s Gromart Garden Supply originally opened for business on New Years day of 2013 in a bid to fulfill the demand for alternative growing supplies and equipment for those engaged in controlled environment agriculture across Michigan’s Great Southwest and into Northern Indiana.
Thompson says, “There are many alternative growing methods and Gromart is ready to teach you and assist along the way. The professional staff at Gromart have experience in the industry and are able to answer any questions that you may have.”
Gromart’s Grand Opening at the new site, located at 26402 US-12 in Edwardsburg, will take place on Saturday, May 1st from 10am-to-2pm. There will be more than a dozen vendors specializing in gardening that will be offering free samples and information. Thompson says, ,”We are also expecting several food vendors as well, and this event will continue rain or shine with plenty of indoor space.” He adds, “I will also be celebrating 9 years in business.”
Gromart offers a wide selection of name brand alternative gardening products and equipment at their 2,000 sq. ft. store with the capability to special order more than 5,000 different products, which means, essentially, if it’s not stocked at the store they can get it for you.
