Peat’s Cider Social is elated to announce their 2nd Annual Halloween Maker’s Market on Saturday, October 22nd, and hopes you’ll join the community for a day of shopping, sipping, and autumn celebration.

“We are makers ourselves and wanted to find a way to celebrate other local makers,” says Peat’s Cider Social owner Leah Peat. “It’s really important to us to help highlight and support those who are creating in our local community. We also love spooky season, so it felt like the right time to host an event like this!”

2021 brought the first ever Makers Market to the cidery, and rivaling their ‘Day of the Dude’ celebration, it was the single biggest event of the year.  “Everything at the Halloween Maker’s Market is handmade or hand-picked with love from local makers, and you’ll find a little bit of everything,” Leah says.

The days’ festivities begin at 1 p.m, and vendors will be set up on the lovely patio and selling wares until 6 p.m. Delicious BBQ from Pigs By Bigs will be available for purchase, along with sweet treats, doughnuts, and apple cider. Live music will fill your ears from 5 p.m – 7 p.m, by Modern Vultures, a blend of brilliant musicians from multiple local groups in Southwest Michigan, that has been gracing festivals and breweries with their sensational sounds in our area for the past few years.

The assortment of merchandise from the market’s local vendors is vast. “We worked really hard to make sure that we didn’t duplicate the types of goods our vendors are selling,” says Leah. “It will be the perfect time to shop local and get a head start on your holiday gift giving.”
Among the many refreshing beverages of Peat’s, you will find candles, jewelry, art, books & plants, pottery, leather goods, body scrubs, sweets, jams + jellies, and even kids clothing.

You can find Peat’s Cider Social at 6201 Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville, (just look for the apple!) and on Saturdays their doors open at noon. Fall bowling leagues begin this week, and the 8-week session of casual bowling and friendly competition is open to anyone looking to knock down some pins. You can sign up for league bowling here.

For a detailed list of vendors and their products, please visit their event page on Facebook. Dress for perfect Fall weather, and grab a seat indoors or out for the Halloween Maker’s Market. It’s sure to be a graveyard smash, so mark your calendars and we’ll see you at Peat’s!
