Home Sweet Home Acquires Ability IHC

One of the largest home care agencies in the region just got bigger thanks to a strategic acquisition. Home Sweet Home In-Home Care, based in St. Joseph has acquired the assets and clientele of another St. Joseph-based senior care company, Ability In-Home Care, and going forward all units of the newly combined companies will operate under the Home Sweet Home brand.

Eric Pumfery, Chief Executive Officer and  Executive Director of Home Sweet Home In-Home Care expressed a great deal of excitement over the acquisition of Ability, saying, "This acquisition further enhances our ability to provide better and more comprehensive support to the seniors of our community as well as to their families."

Pumfery and his Chief Operating Officer Joseph Najacht purchased the business assets of Ability In-Home Care from Eric Stoub and Gil Logan. They had been providing exceptional home care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and recuperative care to seniors and families in the region under the Ability name, and now those services will be administered by Home Sweet Home.

With decades of combined in-home care experience, the Home Sweet Home and Ability teams together will help local seniors and their families realize a better quality of life in the comfort of their own home.

Home Sweet Home In-Home Care was founded five years ago in 2011 by Pumfery and Director of Care Operations Joseph Najacht, bringing a broad range of home care services for seniors — including companion and personal care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and safety and technology devices and services.
