Honor Credit Union Garners International Recognition for Talent Development

You know you’re doing it right when your team is recognized on an international scale for developing your next corporate leaders every day. Such is the case for Berrien Springs-based Honor Credit Union who earlier this month picked up a major award outside of Washington D.C.

Honor Credit Union received the prestigious Association for Talent Development 2018 BEST Award during a ceremony held at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland on October 3rd. ATD’s BEST Award is the talent development industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition.

The Association for Talent Development, ATD honored 45 organizations from Australia, Canada, China, India, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States as winners in the 2018 BEST Awards. ATD received entries from 170 organizations representing 12 countries. The winners were selected based on the quantitative and qualitative information submitted to ATD describing their talent development practices and programs.

Honor Credit Union’s organizational development team focuses on the simple concept “people matter most.” Honor’s internal culture, “I am Honor,” is introduced to all new hires to highlight the core values of the organization and to guide them into living the culture daily. The organizational development team and Honor’s senior leaders support development across the organization and recognize the benefit of engaging all demographics of leadership, including the leader of self, leader of others, and the leader of business.

Nicole Kreis is Honor’s Senior Talent Development Specialist.
