Honor CU Creates New Best-in-Class Member Experience Team

At a time when seemingly every institution is becoming increasingly homogenized and distant from its customer base, Berrien Springs-based Honor Credit Union continues to lead the way in reinventing the financial institution model. They are doing that by transforming their branches and Member Solution Center into Honor Member Centers. With a deliberate focus on consistency across all virtual and in-person channels, Honor Credit Union is committed to delivering a best-in-class member experience.

To support such a model, Honor CU has announced its new Member Experience Team — or simply their MX Team.

Led by Chief Experience Officer, Amanda Craig, the MX Team will consist of all member centers and the departments of Community and Brand, IT, and Operations to ensure collaboration and alignment of the member-first mission.

Craig has been with Honor since 2008, and previously served as Chief Operations Officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for strategic direction and management of the MX Team while promoting innovative methods to support excellent member service.

Leading all of Honor’s Member Centers will be Sara Burrsma, VP of Member Experience. Previously the VP of Virtual Engagement, Buursma is well-versed in driving a high-quality member experience for all virtual channels.

In her new position, Buursma will now direct all physical Member Center locations as well, saying, “I’m excited to bring this team together to deliver a high level of hospitality for our members whether they interact with us in person or virtually,” and adds, “Our member is at the center of everything we do and bringing both physical and virtual locations into the same model will allow us to consistently provide a simple experience and smart advice.”
