Honor Gifts Call Center Gear to Cornerstone

For more than four years, member support staff for Honor Credit Union operated from operations center spaces they leased from Cornerstone Alliance in downtown Benton Harbor. With the construction and recent grand opening of their new Ops Center in Berrien Springs, the Benton Harbor office space is now back on the market, but best of all, it can be considered as a full-tilt "Plug-and-Play" Call Center thanks to a generous in-kind donation back to Cornerstone.

In a bid to help boost the growth of the Benton Harbor economy, the team at Honor Credit Union has donated the furnishings they purchased to operate the buildings on West Wall Street downtown to their former landlord, Cornerstone Alliance. Thanks to that generous donation, the site is ready to be pressed into action in a heartbeat for a fully operational call center in Michigan's Great Southwest.

Cornerstone Alliance CEO Rob Cleveland is extremely grateful for the valuable donation, saying, "The furniture and equipment that remains in the building allow Cornerstone Alliance to market the property as a 'Plug-andPlay' Call Center." He adds, "In our line of work, we are constantly looking for the things that make our community, our site or our building different than everything else out there."

Honor had leased the two buildings across from Cornerstone's own offices on West Wall Street from 2012 until this last March when they relocated to their sparkling new Operations Center in Berrien Springs.

Cleveland says, “The fact that we now have a Plug-and-Play Call Center in Benton Harbor has allowed us to mount a targeted marketing campaign and has resulted in a new lead for the building. Without that equipment, it would be much more challenging to find a potential user. The donation from Honor Credit Union was a benefit to every Berrien County resident.”

Founded in 1987, Cornerstone Alliance is Berrien County's lead economic development organization supported by investments from the private and public sectors, serving Berrien County and its municipalities. Anyone with an interest in the West Wall Street buildings can contact Cornerstone Alliance at 269-925-6100.
