Honoring First Responders is a Labor of Love for Honor Credit Union VP

Recognizing only too well that this has been an especially tough year for first responders perhaps moreso than most others among us, Honor Credit Union’s Community Assistant Vice President for the communities of Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Stevensville and Bridgman took time out to honor those on the frontlines through delivery of meals and gift cards to local departments in recent days.

Georgia Gipson has clearly exhibited Honor Credit Union’s commitment to supporting local communities, saying she understands that this has been an especially difficult year for many, especially first responders. She says in order to show appreciation for their service, Team Honor was able to support first responders by purchasing meals and gift cards for departments from Honor’s local business partners, which she then personally delivered. Gipson personally visited and provided meals to 20 departments across Berrien County.

She says, “The gratitude that the first responders showed melted my heart. Every time I delivered meals, their responses were so heartwarming.” She adds, “Often we take the simple things for granted, and during these crazy times the love we showed to our first responders was a memorable moment for all of us.”
