It’s almost time for the 2026 Berrien County Youth Fair, set for next week at the fairgrounds in Berrien Springs.
The event’s Jill Hein told us this spring the 81st annual fair will be Monday, August 17 through Saturday, August 22 with a theme to mark an important anniversary.
“Our theme this year, to go along with the 250th anniversary of the United States, is Happy Birthday, America,” Hein said. “So we’re really excited to do patriotic things and just have a patriotic feel this year.”
Hein says the grandstand shows will begin on Sunday — before the fair officially opens — with the Street Legal Pickup Truck and Tractor Pull. Monday will feature the always popular NTPA Truck and Tractor Pull. Tuesday will be Kids Day, when kids get in for free, and the grandstand show will be three free Circus Continental shows.
Wednesday will bring the headliner, country star Jackson Dean, followed by Three Men and a Tenor with The Music of America on Thursday. Friday will feature the TNT Demolition Derby, and then Saturday will wrap things up with Bullmania.
Hein reminds everyone to remember the youth the fair is for.
“We’ve had lots of exhibitors working hard all year on their exhibits, and we hope that you can make it over to the exhibit buildings and see how hard the exhibitors have been working, and then also just walk around the fair and see what else we’ve got coming.”
All of this is not to mention the wide variety of fair food, the rides, and of course, the merchants. Last year’s Berrien County Youth Fair attracted around 100,000 people, and they’re hoping for more this year.
