Kinexus Hosts Networking Mixer for All SWM Interns

One of the most valuable parts of being an intern for local business and industry is the opportunity to network on your way to finding your life’s avocation. In a great bid to help all local interns across Michigan’s Great Southwest, the change agents at Kinexus are hosting an all intern mixer event to pave the way to more networking. They call it Mixtern: Future Leaders of Southwest Michigan.

Team Kinexus will host the event to give interns from different businesses and industries yet another valuable chance to network  with one another and learn why other young, educated talent chooses to work and play in our region.

Kristin Bivens is Brand Coordinator for Kinexus. She says, “Southwest Michigan’s workforce is getting older, they are less educated, and a portion of them are leaving the area. By holding this event, we hope to show the up-and-coming workforce that our region is a viable place to stay, both professionally and socially.”

Bivens tells us the mixer is slated for Tuesday, July 24th, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Silver Harbor Brewing Company located at 721 Pleasant Street in downtown St. Joseph. The event is free to attend and is an event for interns only.

Human Resources Rep Katelyn Hancock at Kinexus notes, “We have ten interns at Kinexus, but we had over 450 applications. We need to continue attracting the younger generation here, but we also want them to stay.”

To attend, interns need to register by next Wednesday, July 18th at the link below:
