The 2022 Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff presented by 1st Source Bank Wealth Advisory Services kicked off Saturday with 171 artists in beautiful and sunny Lake Bluff Park. The weekend has been about style beautiful, both with weather and artwork from across the country. Experience the talent and excitement today, Sunday, July 11, from 10 am – 5 pm. Tickets are $5 and support free exhibitions through Krasl Art Center as the non-profit’s largest fundraiser. Artists are juried twice for the Krasl Art Fair; The first time is to get into the fair, the second for awards in each artwork category. The same panel of jurors both evaluate the artwork and select the winners. Krasl Art Center’s Board of Directors also selects an artist from any category for the KAC Board Choice Award. This year, in honor of the 60th Krasl Art Fair, there is a Spirit of Olga Award, in honor of KAC’s benefactress Olga Krasl. The award’s criteria include artistic merit, personal character, poise, a sense of community, and appreciation of travel – all in honor of Mrs. Krasl’s personal traits.
The award ceremony – held virtually on Krasl Art Center’s YouTube Page on Sunday at 9:30 am, will also be available on Facebook.
