The Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph has announced some staff promotions. The Krasl told us more:

Krasl Art Center (KAC) is pleased to announce two staff promotions. Nathan Margoni has been promoted to the Director of Education, and Laura Winkle to the Associate Curator of Engagement.

Margoni has served as the Manager of Education for the past seven years. His new position of Director of Education leads a team of Education Staff and Teaching Artists to provide high-impact visual art experiences that are accessible and relevant to all members of the community. KAC’s education programs are ever-evolving but are always informed by a deep understanding and involvement with the local community, as well as current best practices in community-based and studio art education. Margoni will direct the operations of all education programs from conception through execution, including but not limited to: classes, camps, visiting artist workshops, clay artist guild, Teen Arts Council, Family Days, Family Nights, the Community Student Art Exhibition, offsite community partnership programs, community events, school tours, and hands-on art activities at exhibition openings and events.

Winkle has served as the Interpretation and Engagement Coordinator for the past three and a half years. In her new role as Associate Curator of Engagement, she will plan and implement all phases of interpretive content connected to KAC’s temporary exhibitions, public art collection, and museum campus; including written gallery interpretation, informal learning activities, digital content, and adult programming. Winkle also provides key support to the Executive Director & Chief Curator by assisting with artist communications and contracts, installation, and maintenance of artworks.
