Lakeland Hosts Flu Clinics this Fall

Nobody wants to be derailed from work, school or family activities due to illness from the flu, that’s why Lakeland Health is offering up flu shot clinics beginning this week for those looking to protect themselves from the illness in Michigan’s Great Southwest.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone age six months and older as the best protection from the serious illness, and Lakeland Health recommends that community members receive a flu shot through their physicians’ offices or at an upcoming community flu shot clinic that they will be hosting. The 2017–2018 flu vaccine provides protection against H1N1 influenza as well as types A and B influenza. Lakeland’s flu clinics are open to adults age 18 and over.

The cost of the flu shot is $30. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Lakeland Health will bill Medicare for the flu vaccine with proper documentation. If you’d like additional information you can call (269) 556-2808 or (866) 260-7544 or, you can simply show up for one of the upcoming clinics. Here’s when Lakeland will host those clinics:
