Lemon Creek Hosts 16th Annual Art & Wine Fest This Weekend

While it’s true that most people feel that the Memorial Day weekend essentially is the launch to summer in Michigan’s Great Southwest, there are those who insist that the true harbinger of summer in the region stems from the Lemon Creek Winery’s Annual Art & Wine Festival. For at least 16-years running that will be the case for many tomorrow and Sunday, May 25th and 26th as the crew at Lemon Creek rolls out the welcome mat for the 16th Annual Art & Wine Festival at 533 E. Lemon Creek Road in Berrien Springs.

Art Exhibits open at 12-noon and close at 6pm both Saturday and Sunday, and both admission and parking are free of charge. Art exhibits, live music, new wine releases, special sales, and food are all available in a delightful setting on the edge of the vineyard alongside the Lemon Creek tasting room.

Art exhibits of different mediums will be found on the grounds including hand crafted stained glass, jewelry, pottery, photography, fine art paintings, and more.

Over 35 years of experience in winemaking has elevated the wines at Lemon Creek to the award winning “art” that they have become. 100-percent estate grown and bottled, all of Lemon Creek’s artisanal wines will be available for tasting, including new wine releases and special sales and discounts.

Music will be provided by Keith Scott, a sizzling blues guitarist and one of Chicago’s most vibrant musicians. A favorite performer at Lemon Creek, Keith will be jamming both Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. Information and musical links for Keith Scott can be found at www.heavyblues.com.

Classic Catering will be on site serving wood fired pizza, pulled pork sandwiches and a baked Brie bowl with grapes. Plus, Zeno’s Italian Ice will be available for purchase as well.

Planting Hope, the founders of the Southwest Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force (SMHTTF) will be selling their beautiful potted plants and flowers to raise funds for their cause. The SMHTTF trains state and local police forces and works to raise awareness on how shockingly prevalent human trafficking is in the state of Michigan.

Lemon Creek Winery is “A Pure Michigan Winery From The Ground Up.”
