How would you assess the damage of the global coronavirus pandemic? How has it impacted your business or your very lifestyle? How has it impacted the overall economy, especially here in Michigan’s Great Southwest?

A trio of economic development experts will take to the virtual stage next week in a program hosted by The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College to discuss The Pandemic Economy and Beyond. The program is co-presented by The Economic Club of Southwest Michigan and the Speaker Series of South Haven.

Led by Dr. Paul Isley, Associate Dean and Professor of Economics for the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University, and joined by local economic development leaders Rob Cleveland, President & CEO at Cornerstone Alliance and Jim Hettinger, President & CEO of Jim Hettinger Urban Development Services, LLC, the online program will take a close-up look at the impact of COVID-19 on our economy and what we can expect as the pandemic comes to an end.

Isley will take the more global view while Cleveland and Hettinger discuss the local impact and the economic outlook for Southwest Michigan during the program which is slated for 7pm next Thursday, April 22nd.
