The Local Cafe & Coffee House in Baroda is turning a page. The two women who started the breakfast business in 2020 are selling it to another local food industry veteran.
Brittney Belanger and Paige Kamp announced in a social media post that experienced chef Alex Ottusch will take over The Local, at 8952 1st Street in Baroda.
After 5+ incredible years, it’s time for a new chapter for The Local
What started as a dream has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined.. and that’s because of all of YOU. To our amazing team, loyal customers, friends, and family: thank you for supporting us, believing in us, and growing alongside us through every season of life. You’ve watched not only our business grow, but our families too, and we’ll never be able to fully express how grateful we are for that. One of the biggest reasons behind this decision is our desire to slow down a little & spend more time with our littles while they’re still little. Owning and running a business has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives, but family time is something we can’t get back, and we’re looking forward to being more present for these precious years. As bittersweet as it is, we’ve made the decision to pass The Local into new hands. The café is going to a talented local chef, Alex Ottusch, who shares the same passion for community, quality, and hospitality & we truly couldn’t feel better about its future. While ownership may be changing, this place will always hold a huge piece of our hearts. We’re so excited to see where this next chapter leads and know you’ll continue to be taken care of & welcomed here. And don’t worry, you’ll still see us aroundFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to the memories we’ve made & the exciting future ahead.
xoxo,p + b
