Businesses from the Edgewater District north of the St. Joseph River to Higman Park Road should be prepared for occasional traffic delays and other disruptions as the Michigan Department of Transportation plans a month-long series of road maintenance lane closures from Monday, June 13th through Friday, July 8th.
The daily lane closures on both northbound and southbound M-63 will also impact workers headed to the Whirlpool Administration Center, and other facilities north of town for that four week time period when road workers perform concrete joint sealing in the stretch of M-63 running from Port Street alongside the Berrien County Courthouse parking lot, north to Higman Park Road at the center of the Harbor Shores Golf Club.
MDOT teams caution that there could be delays fostered by the lane closures. Anyone with time sensitive travel during that span might consider skirting that area by using alternative routes to their final destinations.
