Michigan Works! Offices in Berrien, Cass, Van Buren Officially Reopens to Walk-in Services

After pivoting to virtual services or appointment only options due to the long-running pandemic, the team at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren has announced today that they are now officially reopened for walk-in services at their main and satellite locations.

Michigan Works! is ready to help, whether you are seeking a job for the first time, changing careers, looking for training, education, or need assistance with removing barriers that keep you from gainful employment.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Michigan Works! has supported over 74,000 people virtually or by appointment-only with job searches, education, training, and barrier removal services. Today, they open their doors at 50-percent capacity to walk-in services to continue to help individuals get back to work and achieve their goals.

For immediate service, individuals are encouraged to visit their local Michigan Works! Service center. For those who prefer to continue utilizing virtual options or to schedule an appointment with Michigan Works!, you can visit http://www.miworks.org or call (269) 927-1799.

The locations and hours can be found below for each location:

Benton Harbor Service Center, 499 West Main Street in Benton Harbor

  • Open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM

Paw Paw Service Center, 32849 E Red Arrow Hwy Suite 100 in Paw Paw

  • Open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM

County Administration Building, 120 N Broadway Street, Room 219 in Cassopolis

  • Open Monday and Wednesday Only from 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM

Niles Southwestern Michigan College Campus Admin Building, 3890 US-12 in Niles

  • Open Tuesday and Thursday Only from 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM

Individuals who would like to file an unemployment claim, must file online at this link: http://Michigan.gov/UIA or you can call 1-866-500-0017. Michigan Works! is not the unemployment agency, and therefore cannot provide details about individual claims.
