MichiganWorks! Spotlights Hartford High School Student Jobs Program

MichiganWorks! Is highlighting an area high school program that prepares students for success.

Hartford High School’s Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) program will be hosting their annual Initiation and Installation (I&I) ceremony. They will be joined at the celebration by State Representative, Joey Andrews. JMG is the premiere program of Youth Solutions, Inc. Youth Solutions is a non-profit focused on equipping young people with the skills to overcome barriers and succeed in education, employment and in life.

Community leaders attending will include:

Nick Blackmer, Principal at Hartford High School

Rick Ward, Migrant/Hispanic Student Educational Advocate at Hartford High School

Jocelynne Braddock, Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates Specialist

They will honor Hartford High School Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates Students.

The I&I Ceremony is the commitment celebration for being a part of the JMG program and serves as an official induction of the program’s elected youth leadership. The elected leaders are responsible for planning year-round community service events, making program recommendations, representing the program at state and national leadership events, and competing in employability skills competitions.
