When you are a small business enterprise, the unpredictability of seemingly every day can be daunting. While one day shines, the next three can seem like a lifetime as the phone never rings, the door never swings, and nobody brings you to mind. No year in recent memory has been as widely universally unpredictable as 2020 proved to be thanks to the global pandemic.

Right here in Michigan’s Great Southwest, one of the biggest challenges for small business owners, operators, and managers has been how to inform customers about current operations. When it comes to information regarding local businesses in Southwest Michigan, Moody on the Market has worked diligently to be the voice of the business community, working around the clock to keep you informed of the status of state mandated closures, business relief programming opportunities, and the comings and goings of the business community in general.

Now, we’re taking a proactive approach to the multi-faceted ways in which we keep you apprised of the status of many companies on the edge in Southwest Michigan. In a bid to help feature some of those in the business community who are seeking additional exposure, and with the great underwriting support of United Federal Credit Union as our sponsor, Moody on the Market is launching Moody on the Move.

I will be hitting the road to spend some time with one local business each month to feature that business in a video format that will be posted here at MooodyOnTheMarket.com as well as at WSJM.com. In fact, the first in the series, which helps to set the tone of this new venture, is now posted under the Moody on the Move tab at the top of the page. We headed to the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber where Arthur and Sarah truly set the pace during the pandemic through multiple efforts to boost local business enterprises.

Going forward each month, our interviews will cover business struggles, successes, availability, and how the community can support those businesses. In addition, videos will be hosted as advertisements on the MoodyontheMarket.com Facebook page and promoted on-air at News/Talk/Sports 94.9 WSJM.

We hope you will watch these videos and continue the amazing support that you have thrown behind the small businesses of our region who have done everything in their power to remain viable at a very critical point in their lives.
