Murder Investigation Leads to Reward Offer

Benton Harbor Public Safety Officials have asked for the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible for what they are now classifying as a homicide case. They are currently offering  $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the death of a 28 year old man, whose body was found in the snow early Sunday morning, December 11, 2016.

Police say that the investigation into the suspicious death discovered on yesterday has transitioned to a murder investigation, after it was discovered that the young man, identified as 28 year old Joshua Deairest Hutchinson of Benton Harbor had died from multiple gunshots.  He was found in the 800 block of Superior Street in the City of Benton Harbor Sunday morning. The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is also being assisted by the Michigan State Police Major Case Unit, Berrien County Homicide Task Force, and FBI VCTF.
