Niles’ On Base Productions Wins 2nd Telly Award

Charles Nelson and his team at On Base Productions in Niles are feeling good about a second ‘Telly’ award in the video production field.

The Telly Awars honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies including Adobe, BBC World Service, Netflix, Dow Jones, Complex Networks, ESPN Films, National Geographic Society, Nickelodeon, Vimeo, and more.

On Base Prouctions was named a Bronze Winner in the Non-Broadcast – Educational Institution category. The winning video was a project for Buchanan Community Schools. The video can be viewed at vimeo.com/onbaseproductions/aria

This is the second time On Base has been recognized with a Telly, having won a Bronze in 2022. “The caliber of the work this season coming from creators such as On Base Productions truly has reflected the theme of breaking out and standing out,” said Tellys Executive Director Sabrina Dridje. “Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, crafting truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues, and companies big and small are turning to more sustainable practices to break the cycle of past production processes.” “

Buchanan Community Schools is on of our favorite clients to work with, said On Base Productions owner Charles Nelson. “So to win the award with a project we partnered together on is awesome.”

“Buchanan Community School is excited about the ongoing partnership with On Base Produ, ctions, said Buchanan Schools Superintendent Patricia Robinson. “This partnership has allowed the district to have a dominant presence on social media outlets and to share our learning, our stories, our celebrations, and our accomplishments visually with our community and with those who may not be connected to our schools.”

Telly Awards organizers said the winners announcement caps a year-long celebration of creators and talent who truly stand out during a time when the ubiquity of screens brings more clutter than quality into our lives. These are the creators and innovators who spotlight diverse voices, who are building a more sustainable industry, and who break through the static with their creativity. In function of this, a series of new categories were introduced to reflect and celebrate ways in which video is being used as a force for good and the ways in which emerging technologies are pushing the For Immediate Release on base becomes two-time telly award winner charles@onbaseproductions.com boundaries of innovation.

New categories this season included Virtual Art Direction, Use of Motion Capture, and Digital Environments alongside new honors in Pro Bono, CSR, and Video Journalism to celebrate ethical, philanthropic, and educational work.
