Nominations Now Open for 2021 Best Places to Work in Southwest Michigan

There is little doubt that the face of the everyday workplace has changed in the past year, in some cases dramatically. In fact, some people haven’t seen the inside of their office or work space more than a handful of times in that entire year, if at all. Despite all of that, and in some cases because of all of that, there are some truly remarkable places to work in Michigan’s Great Southwest and we are resuming our annual search for the best of the best.

Nominations are now being accepted through an online survey instrument here at Moody on the Market to help identify the very best employers in the Tri-County region of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties thanks to our partnership with the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, McGhee’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Kinexus Group, and the St. Joseph Banking Center a Division of Sturgis Bank & Trust with support from United Way of Southwest Michigan and the Mason Jar Cafe.

Today, the prestigious recognition program designed to shine the spotlight on the best businesses in the region is recruiting the help of everyone in identifying the leaders in our midst.

If you work for, or know of, a business that is doing all the right things for staff, employees, customers and beyond while equally having a positive impact in the community-at-large, please take some time to share that information by nominating that company to be included among the 20 Best Places to Work in Michigan’s Great Southwest.

The nomination process officially began today and will remain open until the end of the day on March 31st, 2021. Please recognize that this is not a popularity contest. It only takes one nomination to place a company in contention, and multiple entries are superfluous, having no impact whatsoever on the judges’s decisions. A committee of business leaders from the community will be voting to determine the final 20 to receive the award.

In late April we will unveil the 20 Best Places to Work on live radio broadcasts across several stations within the Mid-West Family, and a special section here, inside MoodyOnTheMarket.com will detail those winners, telling their stories, with plans to get trophies into the hands of the winning businesses shortly thereafter either in person or through a virtual event depending on the state of the pandemic.

Please keep in mind that there are eligibility requirements, and they can be found under the tab at the top of the page. Best Places to Work recognizes the type of business that everyone would like to work at – they’re the businesses that are going above and beyond for their team and the community, setting the gold standard for others to aspire to. Please note, too, that the 20 Best Places to Work selected in any previous year are not eligible to repeat, so should not be nominated.

No matter the industry or sector, we’d love to hear about those stellar businesses among us that are making a difference at their workplace, excelling in their industry and making valuable contributions to the betterment of Michigan’s Great Southwest. These companies clearly stand head and shoulders above all others in the region and have been able to excel at what they do regularly. Those selected for representation in the Best Places to Work will be those that set the tone for what every good company or organization should ascribe to in our region.

To submit a nomination beginning today, click the link to go to an online survey where you will be asked to answer less than 20 questions about the business being nominated. Be sure to read the information under that tab, which explains requirements and eligibility. Don’t forget to share about your nominations and spread the word about this program on social media using hashtag #MoodyBestPlacesToWork!

Good luck to everyone, and we look forward to hearing and sharing your stories of stand-out businesses right here at home.
