Perrigo Completes Sale of Animal Health to PetIQ

Perrigo Company plc has announced that it has completed the sale of it’s subsidiary Animal Health to PetIQ for $185 million.

“Completing the divestiture of the Animal Health business is an important step in the transformation of Perrigo into a consumer-focused self-care company,” Perrigo CEO and President Murray S. Kessler stated. “We appreciate the contributions made by this business and its dedicated employees.”

Perrigo is a Dublin-based pharmaceutical company, with locations here in West Michigan in Allegan and Holland. Animal Health is division that makes pet pharmaceuticals, including PetArmor, SENTRY and Sergeant’s. PetIQ is one of the leading pet medication manufacturers in the country, based in Eagle, Idaho. Animal Health’s brands will now be made and distributed by PetIQ.
