Perrigo Investing Nearly $14-M into West MI Expansion

A major expansion project is pumping nearly $14-million into an existing Perrigo facility in Holland Charter Township as the global consumer self-care company grows its footprint in West Michigan once again.

Perrigo is investing $13.6 million in the Holland area, expanding their existing location on Reflections Drive according to the team at Lakeshore Advantage. That’s the local economic development organization that assists employers with growth opportunities in Ottawa and Allegan counties. They worked with the company to connect them with local and state resources to support their expansion.

Jennifer Owens, President of Lakeshore Advantage, says, “Perrigo’s investment is a testament to the strength and ingenuity of our region’s manufacturing workforce,” and adds, “We are grateful to have this significant investment by global business leader and outstanding employer, Perrigo, in West Michigan.”

Perrigo is constructing a 66,000 square foot warehousing facility at their Holland Charter Township location to support ongoing growth. The company currently employs over 3,000 people at multiple  West Michigan locations in Allegan and Ottowa Counties.

Government officials at Holland Charter Township approved an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption over 12 years to support Perrigo’s project.

Township Supervisor Terry Nienhuis says, “We are very pleased to support Perrigo’s expansion and investment in their facilities in the Township.”
