Planning Well Underway, Tix on Sale for 14th Lake MI Shore Wine Festival

Even though we just managed to melt off a fresh late April snowfall from the weekend, lots of folks are looking forward to the best part of living along Lake Michigan — summer festival season. Among those most anxious are organizers of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail working on plans for their 14th annual wine festival.

The Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail announced today that their 14th Annual Lake Michigan Shore Wine Festival is once again taking place at the beautiful Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer, on Saturday June 15th.

Tickets for the 2019 event are already on sale at the website linked below. Admission will run you $15 in advance or $20 if you wait to get your tickets at the gate. This is your chance to get a jump on planning for the summer season by purchasing online now, or ‘locals’ to Southwest Michigan or Northwest Indiana can stop into many Lake Michigan Shore Wineries, any Martin’s Super Market in SW Michigan & NW Indiana the or Harding’s Friendly Market in Bridgman to purchase in person with no service fees. The signature event is staying true to its original mission of bringing all the wineries of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail together in one location for guests to sample wines by taste or by the glass-and paired with the amazing vista of the Lake Michigan Shore. The festival will continue to feature fantastic regional live music programming, a big top tent that houses the awesome wineries, access to the beach and beautiful Lake Michigan, an enviable sunset and a whole lot of world-class wines. Area food trucks and other local restaurants will be there to pair with the amazing varietals. All below the backdrop of the towering sands of the incredible Warren Dunes.

New this year is the addition of five tasting tickets included with admission.

Also new and improved this year, guests now will have the convenience of driving into the Dunes and parking directly adjacent to the festival & beach, where there is capacity for thousands of cars, plus for overflow parking, organizers will provide shuttle service from remote parking areas of the park to the event. Check the website for hotel shuttle service options as well.

Take note that Warren Dunes State Park does charge a nominal fee for parking, per car…or if you have the Michigan State Passport license tab, you have free parking. If you choose to purchase an annual passport, you receive free parking for the year at any Michigan State Park.
