Police Outline Road and Parking Closures for Krasl Art Fair

The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety has released information regarding parking and street closures for this year’s Krasl Art Fair in downtown St. Joe.

Starting Friday at 1 p.m. until Sunday evening, Lake Boulevard from Ship Street to State Street will be closed, along with the west half of the 500 block of Broad and Elm Streets and City Parking Lot #5 north of the Curious Kids Museum.

A number of parking lots will be closed early Saturday and Sunday mornings for artist parking, then open for general parking at 10 a.m. Those lots are:

City Parking Lot #3 at the corner of Ship Street and Lake Boulevard.

City Parking Lot #4 at the northwest corner of State and Elm Streets and the eastern half of the 500 block of Elm.

City Parking Lot #7 at the northeast corner of State and Elm Streets.

Additionally, festival neighborhood no parking zones will be in effect all day Saturday and Sunday. The no parking zone is bordered by Broad Street to the north, Sutherland Avenue and Hoyt Street to the south, Lake Boulevard to the west and Wayne Street to the east.

Streets running north to south will have no parking on the east side, with streets running east to west having no parking on the south side. Also, Lions Park Drive, Market, Pearl, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Streets will have no parking on the north side, and the west side of Lions Park Drive will have no parking on the south side.

The 2 and 3 hour parking enforcement will be suspended Friday through Sunday.

St. Joseph Public Safety encourages attendees of the Krasl Art Fair to utilize shuttle buses due to the limited parking. Those can be found at Kelley’s Bowl on Cleveland Avenue near Lakeshore Drive, and the Renaissance Business Center at Edgewater off of Momany Drive from M-63.

Pets are not allowed at the Krasl Art Fair.
