Protect Your Business From Fraud

Far too often we hear of businesses and organizations in our midst who have fallen victim to embezzlements, fraud, and other issues that can cripple or even kill a company or team. Even following such incidents, you hear of other victims who failed to take precautions despite the impact. Fortunately, Cornerstone Alliance is firing up a free workshop to help members of the local business community protect themselves from incidents of fraud.

The Cornerstone Alliance Small Business Services team encourages entrepreneurs who are interested in protecting their small businesses from fraud to attend this free workshop! "FRAUD- How to Protect your Business" is a lunch and learn (you bring your lunch) on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from noon to 1:30pm at the Cornerstone Alliance offices, 38 W. Wall Street in Benton Harbor. 

Kate Seaman, Vice President, Treasury Management, at Chemical Bank will be leading this workshop.  
 
The workshop focuses on come common types of busines fraud and will discuss methods businesses can implement to prevent loss of data which can result in financial loss. Topics included in this workshop are:
 

  • Cybersecurity
  • External Fraud Risks
  • Internal Fraud/Embezzlement
  • Suggestions for Company Security Policies
  • Resources for Security Policies

 
There is no cost for this workshop — it's free!  All you need to do is bring your own lunch!
