Re-branding for Denise Bohn Strong

She unabashedly called her annual golf outing the Tee-Off for TaTas for half a dozen years, but with the tragic death of cancer survivor and super-advocate Denise Bohn, her friends and family have elected to re-brand her classic event moving it off a couple of months in order to successfully regroup and give the tournament new direction and the chance to soar for her children.

Now officially called the #DeniseBohnStrong Golf Outing, the event has become a benefit outing for the Bohn-Stewart Children Education Fund to assure that Denise's three amazing children have the resources to continue their life's education without fear of being financially strapped going forward. Friends and family have pledged to carry on the full-court press that Denise was so well known for in every endeavor she signed on to, and they hope that you will redouble those efforts by participating with a team of your own, or donations of items for a silent auction, or even just cash towards the cause.

The event is now scheduled for a 9am shotgun start at Indian Lake Hills Golf Club in Eau Claire on Saturday, August 6, 2016…and online registration can be accomplished until July 29th (or until the event is sold out, if sooner) by clicking the link below for Radio Super Saver.com or by simply stopping by the radio studios of 98.3 The Coast at 580 E. Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor weekdays from 9am until 5pm.

For $300.00 you can register a foursome to play in the tourney or individual players can register for $75.00, and all checks should be made out to Bohn-Stewart Education Fund. Paying in person at the studio you can also pay by cash or credit card, if you wish.

Gameday registration will begin at 8am at Indian Lake Hills, which is located at 55321 Brush Lake Road in Eau Claire, a beautiful course in the heart of the Sister Lakes region. Your registration fee includes greens fees and a cart along with a lunch buffet, awards and prize drawings, and a silent auction following the golf outing at the Farmers Country Club at 5265 Napier Circle in Benton Harbor. A great silent auction will also take place at that time and location. If you would like to donate items to the silent auction, or volunteer to help out in any way, please contact Kim Thumm at kim.thumm@att.net or by phone at 269-932-2868. If you would like to donate food for the luncheon, please contact Marilyn Hart at hartwelldrilling@sbcglobal.net.

The #DeniseBohnStrong Golf Outing is a four person scramble with par 3 contests, skins games, mulligan options at $5 per person, and a String It Out game at $10 a foot up to 10-feet.

Sponsored by 98.3 The Coast, WSJM Sports Radio, Town Crier Wire, JohnsonRauhoff, Walsworth Printing Services, KitchenAid and LeValley Chevrolet Buick GMC, the event is a full-title re-branding by the friends and family of Denise to establish a solid base for the Bohn-Stewart Children Education Fund. Additional Hole Sponsorships are available at a cost of $100 or 3 for $200, and there is literally no limit on how many sponsors can join the effort at each of the 18 holes of the tourney. The more, the merrier. To become a hole sponsor or sponsor the event in any other way, please contact Dave Doetsch by e-mail at DaveD@wirx.com.

When registering, please plan to have the Team Captain's information and the names and e-mail addresses of all team members playing in your foursome. If you would like more information you can obtain it from Mick Hart by phone at either 269-208-5429 or 269-944-1803 or by emailing him at hartdrilling@sbcglobal.net. The number for Indian Lake Hills is 269-782-2540, and the number for Farmers Country Club is 269-944-5790.
