Leroy Lane knows a thing or two about grilling up some ribs, and while a good portion of America will attempt to replicate that prowess in their own backyards this weekend with the arrival of the Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of the summer of 2017, Leroy will settle for wrangling his ribs at his new Orchards Mall Food Court restaurant inside the Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor.
Lane hails from Missouri and owning his own restaurant has long been a dream. That dream came true a couple of months ago when he established his new Country Lee’s restaurant in the Food Court at the mall on Pipestone.
With several weeks under his belt, Leroy hopes that you’ll stop by and enjoy his offerings for lunch or dinner sometime soon, and he’s crafting a plan to add breakfast into the mix someday soon as well.
Lane’s signature rib dinners and other grill items are available Thursday through Saturday while his main menu is available everyday except for Sunday when his establishment is closed.
Country Lee’s has enjoyed a fairly steady stream of business from shoppers and he’s working hard to get the word out about not only his own business but those of others at the mall who want to see the building returned to its former glory and, as he puts it, “brought back to life” once again.
Featuring standard American fare, Country Lee’s restaurant in the Orchards Mall Food Court at the center of the mall is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am until 8pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am until 5pm. As noted, they are closed on Sundays.
