We’re more than a week removed from Whirlpool Corporation’s 4th Annual Rock the Boat Cardboard Boat Races, and there’s still reason for the community to celebrate. The event, that took place at The Inn at Harbor Shores on July 18th, raised more than $110K. This is a record for the event.

Rock the Boat is one of the fastest growing events in Southwest Michigan. In 2016, six boats participated. On July 18th, seventy-five boats signed up.

“Our boat registration was sold out in early June, so it’s very clear how popular this event has become.  We appreciate Whirlpool bringing this event to Southwest Michigan, and we’re proud to be a part of it.  We know that the bigger the event becomes, the more people we can impact in our community,” states Charlotte Becker, Director of Annual Campaign for UWSM.
