“Round Barn Filling Station” Almost Ready For Coloma Debut

It was a cold February day when the sun set behind Pat’s photo of the former Jollay Market property at Coloma’s Friday Road exit of I-94. The Jollay Family had announced on Facebook to their loyal fans and customers that they decided to close up shop at the Market, so they could concentrate on their U-Pick operation at the Farm just down the road.

That lead us to an April announcement from the Moersch family, the mavens behind the Round Barn brand of wines, beers and spirits, to pick up where the Jollays left off. It appears after many months of prep and rehab, planning and perfecting, the “Round Barn Filling Station” will be open for business quite soon.

Posted to the Round Barn Winery, Distillery & Brewery Facebook page Tuesday night was an exclamatory post of glee from the sunny Coloma filling station parking lot, showing a beautiful new sign and large covered outdoor seating area with the promise of “Food, Wine and Spirits.”

When asked by a Facebook fan if the location was open, the page responded “Aiming for Friday! Follow the Facebook Page for updates!” You can do that by clicking here to keep tabs on what’s going on.

Matthew Moersch tells us, “We are so excited for our newest addition to the Moersch Family in Coloma. The Filling Station is highly anticipated and we can’t wait to open. We are waiting on final nods, which should all occur by Friday. So stay tuned!”

While menus of drinks and food have not been revealed to us or the Facebook page just yet, we will surely keep you posted on the goodies that await you when the doors officially open and the parking lot fills up for the sixth location of the Round Barn hospitality empire.

The photo accompanying this story was publicly posted on the Round Barn Winery, Distillery & Brewery Facebook page.
