Setting the Stage for Corvette Lovers at 31st Annual Turkeyville Celebration

Being in the heart of Michigan’s Great Southwest, Corvette lovers abound. They have Corvette Central in Harbor Country and the popular Corvette Coventry collectors club around in the region dating back to the early 80s, so you can probably bet there will be a fair contingent of local Corvette fans in Turkeyville next month for the 31st Annual Corvette Celebration there.

Turkeyville, located in Calhoun County north of Marshall and east of Battle Creek not far off the interchange connecting I-69 and I-94, will be hosting the 31st annual Corvette Celebration on May 19th this year. This annual event is one of the largest Corvette-only shows, boasting more than 100 corvettes (last year the show had over 200). Corvette enthusiasts will be attending from all over the state of Michigan as well as surrounding states.

2019 is a very special year for this show because it is the 60th anniversary (the Diamond anniversary) for the Corvette Club of Battle Creek. The national corvette club has more than 200 clubs consisting of almost 2,000 members’ nationwide. The Battle Creek Club is civic-minded and out to help the surrounding communities by participating in local community parades and homecoming parades, as well as auto rallies. Helping is a big thing for the club, so they find many ways to raise money for local fundraisers, veterans (such as Talons Out), local food banks, and many more.

On May 19th, the fun will begin at 11am and continue until mid-afternoon. The events will offer good music and family-friendly fun, with plenty of trophies for the winners in a variety of categories. While at the Corvette show you can stroll through all the great cars and on into the Turkeyville complex at Cornwell, where turkey is king and there is plenty of great food for a one-of-a-kind turkey meal. Freshly made pies and ice cream can make for a delicious dessert or a snack. The bakery and Country Junction Gift Shop boast a huge selection for everyone. Something for the whole family awaits you at Turkeyville on May 19th. Make your plans now to attend this Sunday event.
