Small Business Association of Michigan Applauds Relaxed MIOSHA Rules

The advocacy team that champions the cause of small business enterprises all over the state of Michigan has applauded the relaxed stance of the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration Tuesday that provide guidance to Michigan businesses regarding the next level of the reopening of the state’s economy.

After the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services removed all gathering and capacity restrictions in the state and lifted face mask orders for the vast majority of the state’s residents on Tuesday, June 22nd, Small Business Association of Michigan President Brian Calley issued a statement in response to MIOSHA’s move to relax guidelines in the workplace as well.

Here is what Calley had to say:

“Small businesses have been among the hardest hit by this pandemic. We’ve said since the beginning that small business owners know best how to run their businesses. The restoration of the autonomy of small business owners to establish workplace practices of their choosing is an important step toward recovery. It moves Michigan more in line with the mainstream across the country.”
