Spectrum Health Lakeland Adds New Oncologist to the Team

The war on cancer has a new soldier in the field at Spectrum Health Lakeland. The hospital medical team has welcomed former U.S. Army Physician, Dr. Daniel Douce, to the medical staff as a new oncologist. The new doctor will see patients alongside colleagues in the Lakeland Medical Suites at Niles.

Daniel Douce, MD, joins Gerald Kozuh, MD, Edmund Paloyan, MD, and Sapna Patel, MD, at Lakeland Cancer Specialists with practice locations in Niles and St. Joseph. With the addition of Dr. Douce, the Niles practice will move to Suite 304 within the Lakeland Medical Suites in Niles, located at 42 N. St. Joseph Avenue, and expand from four to eight exam rooms.

The 37 year old Dr. Douce earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed a residency with Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and went on to serve in Louisiana and Afghanistan as a U.S. Army Physician, completing his service in 2015. Prior to coming to Lakeland, he completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.
