St. Joseph Schools superintendent rated ‘highly effective’

After an annual performance review on Monday, Saint Joseph Superintendent Jenny Fee has received a Highly Effective rating overall for the 2022 year.

“Given the difficulty of the past year, the Board could not have asked for a better leader to navigate these challenging times and lead the district into the future,” said Board President Barry Conybeare. “The Board recognizes Dr. Fee’s success reflects the hard work and quality efforts of her administrators, teachers, and staff in the district. As a result, the Board is thankful for and complimentary of the daily efforts of our administrators, teachers, and staff who work diligently to meet the needs of all students and continuously enhance the St. Joseph Public Schools.”

The Board evaluated Dr. Fee using a tool provided by the Michigan Association of School Boards which assesses a superintendent in eight areas:

  • Superintendent Performance
  • Governance and board relations
  • Stakeholder relations
  • Employee relations
  • Educational leadership
  • Operations
  • Finance
  • Student Growth Measures
  • Superintendent Goal Achievement
