Tabor Hill Campaign Leads to National Recognition for King Media

When Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant of Buchanan was tabbed among the best Winery Restaurants in the United States by USA Today, the ensuing Facebook marketing campaign assembled by their public relations team at King Media of St. Joseph and East Lansing spun the story into pure gold. In fact, the campaign was so successful, it not only elevated Tabor Hill all the way to 4th place in the entire nation, it has had the residual effect of earning King Media a role as a finalist in the PR News Social Media Awards.

King Media’s work is now joining Tabor Hill in garnering national recognition. Most amazing about that is the fact that Coleen King and her crew have been selected alongside major agencies representing global brands like IBM, MTV and Pepsi for the honor.

Coleen says, “We think this is an excellent reflection on the wine and hospitality industry in Southwest Michigan as a whole.”

PR News has announced all of the finalists in its 2017 Social Media Awards program. King Media is up for the category of Facebook — Best Marketing Campaign. The agency submitted work performed on behalf of Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant, a long time client. Last summer, King Media planned, designed and implemented a multi-channel campaign to help Tabor Hill earn the coveted spot in the USA Today 10Best American Winery Restaurant competition. Their social media strategy reached the vast number of Tabor Hill brand enthusiasts necessary to compete with wineries in California, Washington and other highly-populated areas of the country.

Tabor Hill General Manager Paul Landeck says, “Handing over management of our social media strategy to King Media was the best option for Tabor Hill. Our Facebook page has seen tremendous growth under their care, and we’re thrilled that the 10Best campaign that brought us so much success is doing the same for King Media.” The winners and honorable mentions of this annual program will be celebrated at PR News’ Social Media Awards Luncheon on May 2, 2017 from 12 to 2:30pm at The Yale Club in New York City.

The celebratory event will feature a multi-course meal, the awards ceremony honoring the most outstanding social media campaigns across various platforms and the creative individuals driving these stellar efforts, and a keynote presentation from Karen Raskopf, Chief Communications Officer at Dunkin’ Brand, who will share insights on the future of social media and how to create relevant social experiences.

PR News will also hold a Press Release Writing Workshop that day, which will take place in the morning, before the Social Media Awards Luncheon. The half-day workshop will cover how to craft press releases that resonate with journalists to win coverage.
