The O'Jays Headed to Benton Harbor

Crank up the fun meter…things are looking great for the 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, and the word is out that The O'Jays will play a free concert during Championship week this May!

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and BET Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, The O'Jays, are coming to Benton Harbor for a free concert presented by Whirlpool Corporation during the Championship week of May 24th to the 29th, when the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid returns for the third time to the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Club at Harbor Shores. 
The concert will take place in advance of Memorial Day Weekend on the Thursday of Championship week, May 26. The show will be held at 7:00pm at Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park in downtown Benton Harbor and will be open to the public.
Admission to the Community Concert will be free.
Greg Vaughn is Vice Chair of the 77th Senior PGA Championship. He says, “We’re looking to enhance the tradition of the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid here in Benton Harbor by providing unique activities for the people of this community.” He adds, “We’re excited to welcome such a legendary musical group to Benton Harbor in May.”
Local businesses and community leaders are working together to host the community concert for the people of Benton Harbor and to showcase Southwest Michigan to the thousands of visitors and golf fans who will be flocking to the area in May. Planning for additional community events in conjunction with the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid are underway and will be announced at a later date.
