The VanDerZee family is among the most generous in the region and they’re proving it again with a huge Giveback event they have dubbed The 1875 Giveback. The VanDerZee daughters — owners and operators of the highly successful new Three Blondes Brewing Company in South Haven — have teamed up with the South Haven Public Schools Foundation for a major fundraiser through a certified raffle (License R-50647).

At 8pm on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17th, 2019, the drawing will be held for the vehicle you see the Three Blondes sitting aboard in the photo accompanying this story on Moody on the Market.

Although Three Blondes Brewing has only been open since June 14th of 2018, they have selected the South Haven Public Schools Foundation for this major fund raising event,  the 1875 Giveback. The 3 “Blondes,” are sisters Megan Zernicke, Carrie Troyer and Amanda Johnson, who all grew up in South Haven and attended South Haven Public Schools.  Their parents, Ray and Linda VanDerZee also own VanDerZee Motorplex next to the microbrewery. The 1875 Giveback reference comes from the address of the 2 business, 1875 Phoenix Street in South Haven.

Grand Prize in the raffle drawing is a 2019 Kawasaki Mule 4010 Trans 4×4 utility vehicle valued at more than $11,000.  2nd prize will be a 50″ big screen Smart TV.  Various other prizes will be offered during the drawing on March 17th beginning at 8pm at Three Blondes Brewing.  Tickets are just $20.00 and may be purchased at Three Blondes Brewing, VanDerZee Motorplex, Wolverine Hardware or any of the Foundation’s members.

The South Haven Public Schools Foundation provides grants for projects submitted by teachers and staff to enhance the learning process for students. With today’s tight school budgets many worthwhile projects cannot get funding.  The Foundation provides an avenue to secure funding for projects to further the educational experience for local children.
