Top Appliance Deals Become a Win-Win for United Way Campaign

How can you not love a deal that saves you a dramatic amount of money, helps a local company achieve an employee campaign goal, and sends every dollar spent to the bottom line to benefit the collective community of Michigan’s Great Southwest? That’s exactly what will happen when you head to the unique Whirlpool Corporation Fall Appliance Sale near the end of the month.

It is essentially “A great deal for a great cause!” You get deeply discounted major brand appliances for your home, the Whirlpool Corporation 2018 Employee Campaign for United Way gets closer to its goal, and the entire community benefits when the money flows to United Way of Southwest Michigan for programs all across the region.

Whirlpool Corporation will be selling upwards of 200 deeply discounted appliances on Saturday, October 27th from 8am until 4pm and Sunday, October 28th from 9am until 2pm at 150 Hilltop Road in St. Joseph, just off of Lake Shore Drive.

The sale, which is open to the public, will include Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid and Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and washers and dryers. There will also be several KitchenAid Small Appliances offered at exclusive prices.

Gokul Nair is Whirlpool Corporation’s Senior Manager of Global Operations. He says, “This event generated more than $160,000 back in June during our Spring Appliance Sale,” and adds, “At this fall event, you’ll see average discounts of more than 40-percent on some incredible appliances. And it’s all to impact our local community.”

All the major appliances are refurbished, with a full one-year warranty.

Just a heads up that all products purchased at the sale must be picked up during the sale hours, however, for an additional $100 donation per appliance, home deliveries will be available within a 15-mile radius. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment, but no checks can or will be accepted. Additionally, nobody gets an advantage on you as there will be no early sales offered.

Make plans to take your neighbors, friends and relatives to shop—and help United Way of Southwest Michigan all at the same time.
