Urban Cowboy Unleashes Gunfire on Stevensville Auto Dealer

Lincoln Township Police are asking for your help in rounding up some sort of urban cowboy who pumped a lot of lead into the Tyler Honda automobile dealership on Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville at the end of April. Despite the fact that Detectives have been on the case for nearly three weeks, we’re just learning about an attack on the Honda dealership which likely happened on the weekend of April 29th and 30th.

Detectives were called to the dealership located at 4346 Red Arrow Highway to look into malicious destruction of property in which at least three rounds of an unknown caliber weapon were fired into the front window of the Tyler showroom there. Police say that bullet holes were also found in approximately ten vehicles parked on the sales lot out front.

Detective John Chase was called to the scene shortly before 11am on Sunday, April 30th, when the damage was discovered by employees, and Chase is asking the public for help in tracking down the culprit responsible for the extensive damage to the dealership and vehicles.

There was no immediate indication if the vandalism was caused by an irate customer, a random act of passersby, or if the dealership was targeted for some other reason.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information on the case that would lead to an arrest of whoever was responsible for the shoot-up. Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-342-STOP, or to submit an anonymous tip online at www.michianacrimestoppers.com or through a link on their Facebook page.

Crime Stoppers also pays cash rewards on other felony crimes and the capture of fugitives.
