Any kid from the 50’s remembers the old line,  “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” That was the quintessential, if unofficial, motto of the Post Office. But, record extreme weather is dashing that against the rocks out of sheer concern for the safety of the men and women appointed to those rounds.

With severe and extreme weather all across the region and some places forecast to see wind chill readings as low as 60-degrees below zero, the United State Postal Service is taking the precautions necessary to protect life and limb today.
