Villa Environmental Expands Professional Team in Benton Harbor

Two new hires are in the house at Benton Harbor-based Villa Environmental Consultants, ready to bolster the team of professionals already on hand there.

The team at Villa has welcomed two new environmental professionals to their existing professional staff, announced by company President Rick Villa.

Alex Wallace was recently hired in as a Geologist and Project Manager. He is a Western Michigan University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Science and Environmental Studies. Alex joins the environmental team with more than fifteen years environmental experience which includes conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s), Phase II, Baseline Environmental Assessments and Document of Due Care Plans. His extensive background also includes Wetland Delineations & Migrations, Brownfield Redevelopment, Asbestos Surveys, Mold investigations, Lead Paint Chip and related sampling, soil & ground water remediation, field services for geotechnical analysis, as well as environmental cleanup & response activities.

Daniel Kurrie joins the team at Villa as an Environmental Specialist. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Michigan State University. Kurrie’s current duties include Periodic Surveillance of Asbestos material in schools & assistance with on-site assessments & asbestos removal projects, Mold/Indoor Air Quality Testing, Lead Paint Chip sampling, assistance on Radon assessments, Environmental Reviews, and assisting the geology staff on Phase I ESA, Due Care Plan & BEA projects.
