Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott says that the highway is closed down at the 46-mile marker in Hartford Township and everyone is being routed off of the interstate at the Hartford exit.

He reports that there are multiple semi-tractor trailers and other vehicles involved in the pile up, and the westbound lanes will be closed for several hours while the cleanup is underway.

You are encouraged to avoid that area until the highway is back open once again.
