WHR Innovators Spotlighted in Milan

The innovation teams, engineers, marketers and others on the home front at Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corporation are being represented in Milan, Italy this week at a major European showcase called EuroCucina 2016. It is unique show that is perfect for the world's leading manufacturer of major home appliances to blend the tools of everyday life into the same showcase where they offer a glimpse of the future in home appliance innovation.

EuroCucina 2016 began back on Tuesday and concludes tomorrow, and on display are products from each of Whirlpool's pan-European brands including Whirlpool, KitchenAid, HotPoint and Indesit. They are all being presented in a single conceptualized living space that showcases their different uses in everyday life and provides that peek into the future.

Subho Moulik is Head of Global Innovation for Whirlpool Corporation. He says, "The innovations showcased at EuroCucina reflect Whirlpool Corporation's global approach to consumer- centric innovation." Moulik adds, "Through surveys and interviews conducted with more than 3,000 households across the EMEA region, we gathered important insights into the relationship between cooking and food for home cooks, and what features we need to bring to their kitchens as that relationship evolves. It's that type of purposeful innovation that we're proud to be sharing this week in Milan."

Whirlpool Corporation is showcasing appliances across all brands that represent the latest trends in home kitchen innovation and design. These trends include:
 

New products being presented at EuroCucina include SmartCook induction cooktops from Whirlpool brand, which offer an innovative assisted-cooking experience. The Whirlpool SupremeClean dishwasher and Supreme Built-In fridge freezer will also be introduced. The refrigerator uses intelligent technology to keep food fresh, longer.

KitchenAid is presenting the new stainless steel Made to Measure Special Tops that offer fully customizable gas, induction and domino cooktops, a downdraft hood, sinks and the new KitchenAid Deep Induction Trays. The Deep Induction Trays offer five different functions—steaming, boiling, cooking at low temperatures, roasting, and frying. KitchenAid is also presenting the new European Side By Side refrigerator, with a built-in Cooling Drawer and a 45cm Wine Cellar.

Hotpoint is showcasing its all-new built-in suite of appliances, which includes the 2016 Red Dot award winning built-in oven.
Indesit will present a complete built-in cooking suite of matching products for the first time, as well as the eXtra Hygiene Dishwasher that features a hygienic BabyCare Cycle allowing new parents to clean every kind of baby item.
