No other appliance manufacturer can match the performance of Whirlpool Corporation when it comes to recognition from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for Energy Star efficiency. In fact, the Benton Harbor-based appliance giant now has 25 Energy Star awards for their work to save the environment.

Today the EPA recognized Whirlpool with the 2016 Energy Star Partner of the Year – Product Brand Owner Award. Whirlpool received the award for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient kitchen and laundry appliances. The company is also recognized for being a leader in educating consumers and training retailers about energy efficiency. This is the 25th Energy Star award that Whirlpool Corporation has won in the U.S., more than any other appliance manufacturer.

Nathan Mouw is Director of North American Regulatory Affairs for Whirlpool Corporation. He says, "We value our partnership with Energy Star and we're honored to once again earn the distinction of Partner of the Year."
