Future generations of campers will enjoy two major new amenities at the YMCA of Greater Michiana’s Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers following ribbon cutting ceremonies slated for tomorrow afternoon.

The YMCA has announced the completion of a new day camp pavilion as well as a new bathhouse at Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, following their groundbreaking last October as part of their Honoring the Past, Building the Future capital campaign.

The day camp pavilion will provide a dedicated gathering space for day campers, while the new bathhouse includes 10 showers and two family bathrooms to support campers of all ages and abilities. Along with increased sink and toilet capacity, it will also serve as a storm shelter. The original bathhouse was built in the 1970s, with only five showers.

Katia Martin, Camp Director, says, “This is such an exciting time for Camp Eberhart,” and adds, “We are grateful to everyone who helped us complete these projects, and I know our campers and guests will truly appreciate these new facilities.”
