YOUTHBUILD-BENTON HARBOR TO HOST 2022 BASH DAY

Individuals who are 16-24 years old and interested in earning money while finishing their High School Diploma or GED are invited to learn more about the YouthBuild- Benton Harbor program and participate in an afternoon of games, food, and prizes at the 2022 YouthBuild Bash Day.

Bash Day will take place at the Next Level Tech Center in Benton Harbor, located at 315 East Main Street on Thursday, June 23 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Individuals applying to participate in the YouthBuild Program will be automatically entered to win prizes such as gift cards, gaming systems, and bicycles. To be eligible to for the program, individuals should bring a photo ID, birth certificate and social security card to Bash Day. Individuals who are 16-17 years old must bring a parent or legal guardian to fill out the YouthBuild application.

There will also be a flag football game and a 3-point challenge taking place during Bash Day. Those who participate in the games will be entered to win additional prizes. Popeyes chicken will be provided for all attendees.

“We are excited to show young adults in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties a great time, but we also want to get them connected to the resources we have available for them,” said Executive Director of Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, Lily Brewer. “In addition to education and training, we also offer wraparound services such as access to transportation, food, childcare, and many other services to ensure success for each individual we serve.”

YouthBuild is a national program funded in part by the Department of Labor. Youthbuild-Benton Harbor is one of 260 individual programs nationwide and is a program of Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren.
