40 Under 40 Entries Rolling In As Deadline Approaches on February 25th

Perhaps you’ve seen and heard about a prestigious new club that is about to break onto the scene in Michigan’s Great Southwest. It will be an elite club for sure, and you likely know somebody who belongs in this arena. The club I’m talking about isn’t a physical space…it’s a collection. A collection of remarkable talent that resides right here in the region. It’s the collection we are calling the Moody on the Market 40 Under 40.

A little over a week ago we debuted the roll out of our inaugural 40 Under 40 with an invitation for you to nominate dynamic young leaders that may be working with you, for you, or even somebody from your own family, neighborhood, or other organization where you’ve seen their handiwork and know they are worthy of this new recognition.

Surrounded by the steady drumbeat of news that the workforce is broken and there aren’t enough people to fill the high-skilled, high-wage jobs at myriad companies across the board, it becomes far too easy to forget that there are many superstars in our midst who go about the job every day doing great things for the companies they represent, or even the companies that they own, as entrepreneurs. The last thing we want to do is forget them, and that is precisely why this business news portal is launching the inaugural run of the Moody on the Market 40 Under 40 campaign.

We told you about our plan to not only identify and recognize the next generation of workers who are continually raising the bar on quality and performance, but to also applaud and celebrate them in a formal way with this new 40 Under 40 campaign, targeted at finding 40 local leaders under the age of 40.

Charlotte Becker from United Way of Southwest Michigan is spearheading the receipt and tabulation of entries for the selection committee reviewing the entries that have been shared. She tells me, “The nominations submitted thus far are a true testament to the talent we have in Southwest Michigan.” She adds, “The committee has great momentum and is carefully reviewing and ranking each nomination as they come in.”

Charlotte also reminds everyone that the deadline is now just over a week away, so she’s encouraging you to take advantage of this first relatively quiet weekend following the hustle and bustle of the holidays and then multiple winter festivals and events in recent weeks. It’s a perfect weekend to sit down and contemplate who needs to be nominated for this great new recognition and fill out the easy to use online application at the tab at the top of this page: 40 Under 40. There’s also a link below that you can click to get there.

Because many of the young superstars among us are just going about the business at hand, it can be difficult to find them and bring their stories to the spotlight. That’s why we have invited you, the readers, to help populate the winners circle. We are asking for you to tell us who these soon-to-be legendary employees are. It’s a very easy application process and can all be accomplished electronically, right here.

Before you begin the process, however, be certain to read all of the rules regarding eligibility and then proceed.

This prestigious new opportunity for well-deserved recognition is a first for Michigan’s Great Southwest, and we felt it was time to put the young leaders, decision makers and entrepreneurs in our market on the pedestal they deserve to be raised to.

The independent panel headed up by Charolotte Becker continues to receive, tabulate and review all entries for the Moody on the Market 40 Under 40, and the selected winners will be unveiled on March 26th on the Moody in the Morning radio broadcast on News Talk 94.9 WSJM with a reception in their honor on Wednesday, April 10, 2018.

Please take note that the deadline for application filings is next Sunday, February 25th at 11:59PM.
